Innovation Pavilion unveils GO2O! corporate innovation brand, opens applications for upcoming accelerator

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (July 10, 2017) — Innovation Pavilion (IP) released a new brand for its thriving corporate innovation offering: GO2O! Corporate innovation forms a core tenet of IP’s three-legged innovation services, which also includes city innovation and transformation of education. While IP has long sustained deep relations with corporates across the United States, the first initiative to be specifically launched under the GO2O! brand is a second-stage hypergrowth accelerator.

The GO2O! accelerator comes at the heels of years of research into best practices and the successful completion of a TechrIoT XLR8 accelerator and Colorado Demo Day in 2016. Building upon these experiences, GO2O! brings a unique model that not only fulfills an underserved need, but also complements the plethora of early-stage accelerators in operation.

“We have been observing best practices for ten years and have noticed a dearth of accelerator services for second-stage companies,” commented IP CEO Vic Ahmed. “GO2O! was created to fill this market gap and has evolved nicely to be a powerhouse of corporate innovation.”

This 2.0 model offers distinct advantages to cohort companies. As a semi-virtual accelerator with three-day sprints spread over three months, the accelerator does not require companies to relocate (a challenge that often makes accelerators unfeasible for later-stage companies). Selected cohort companies will participate in the accelerator free of charge. Instead, they will make a deferred payment and equity contribution for future cohorts based on company stage and funding or sales secured through the accelerator. IP offers an equity back guarantee for companies that determine they did not get value out of the accelerator.

The first cohort is slated to begin on August 31 and last through the end of the year with in-person “sprints” punctuating virtual sessions.  Participating companies will benefit from a curriculum focused on four themes: strategic planning, access to funding, access to customers and access to supply chain. During each sprint, cohorts will be afforded not just classroom style learning opportunities, lectures and panels, but also exposure to key stakeholders in each area.

Applications for this inaugural cohort are currently open through July 23 at https://www.f6s.com/go2of17. Innovation Pavilion is calling on second-stage companies in the aerospace, IoT and digital health verticals, or related industries, to submit applications to this GO2O! accelerator. IP’s communities — NovaSpace, TechrIoT and Prime Health — will take the lead on the first cohort, while IP partner and California-based accelerator LightSpeed Innovations will also play a crucial role.

“Innovation Pavilion has been a champion of innovation and entrepreneurship for many years now and we are happy to join them on this effort,” remarked Prime Health CEO Steve Adams. “The 2.0 model is needed and is advantageous to any second-stage company looking to accelerate innovation and propel itself to the next stage. We encourage digital health companies to consider this tremendous opportunity.”
